Baseball organ celebrated its 75th anniversary on April 26th 2016. To commemorate the occasion I did an interview with the NPR sports show ‘Only A Game’, which you can hear online here:
I haven’t been checking in here much lately, and as I look back on 2015, I find the reason why.
I’ve been too busy GIGGING LIKE CRAZY.
I tallied up the #s, and here is 2015 by the #s.
The Mighty Untouchables Gigs: 115
Church at RB Gigs: 61
Organ at Padres games: 11
Cardiff Struggles: 16
Tiffy Jane gigs: 19
Misc Jazz and everything else hits: 83
I really can’t believe I did this much because it doesn’t seem like I did. It feels more 1 day at a time to me and I DO feel like I have a lot of time that I waste, opportunity that I leave on the table. In 2016 I’m looking forward to tweaking that quality to quantity ratio ––though in truth I feel like I have this pretty well dialed in already–– and getting back into my production more, which is something I’ve really gotten away from in the past two years.
Here’s to a killer 2016.
It’s 12:30 AM and I’m thinking I should call it day. Did I get enough work done today I earnestly ask myself? I then reflect on my hours today:
7:30 AM – 11:15 AM Charting
11:30 AM -2:15 PM Rehearsal
3:00 PM – 4:30 PM chillin
4:30 PM -5:30 PM practice
5:30 PM -6:30 PM walkin
6:30 PM -8:30 PM dinner/Netflix with Deb
8:30 PM -12:30 PM charting
I’ve been doing more recording sessions down in San Diego. Last week I had a cool session for the San Diego Zoo with some heavy San Diego musicians. This is for some show this Summer:
